ITALFELTRO began its manufacturing operations in the 1970s, when environmental concerns were yet to take centre-stage in terms of industrial policies. Back then, we were already producing needled felt in synthetic fibre without the addition of any resins or colourants, making it fully hygienic, non-toxic and recyclable.

This perceptive intuition was certainly pioneering, even if at the time it may have appeared entirely non-essential, given that almost all of our competitors' products contained resins and colourants. Happily, over the years, our vision has enabled us to continue refining a
collection of articles that are not only high-performance and high-tech but also extremely
environmental-sustainable.
The history of ITALFELTRO has been marked out by a strategy of ongoing quality focused research aimed at designing products that meet the requirements and resolve the manufacturing challenges of each individual customer.
